BBC New Comedy Award

I performed at Cardiff Glee for the 2016 BBC New Comedy Award alongside Rhod Gilbert and Lloyd Langford. It was a great experience and a warm team. It aired on BBC Radio 4 extra on 15/07/2016 but you can catch my short set for the next month on iPlayer at the link below:

Birmingham Mail Top Pick... Our Improvised Dickens

Birmingham Mail has chosen Foghorn Unscripteds improvised Charles Dickens novel, 'Whats The Dickens', as one of their Top 9 pick for BrumFest. Artists from all over the UK are flocking to Birmingham for the two-and-a-half week run from July 15 - 31. There’s plenty of new work and most performances are under £10 or even free. The festival is back for a fourth year, full of quirky and interesting dramas and music, dance, comedy and puppetry. We've been working really hard on honing our story telling skills and learning our Dickensian ways. The show, this Sunday 7pm at the Crescent Theatre, is set to be a blast.

Sitcom Trials winner is..... (Video of show)

We had a great time last night at the Sitcom Trials Birmingham heat with the audience voting to choose Aquarius Cafe, by Rachel Sambrooks as their winner. I was happy as ever to produce and perform in the show and looking forward to taking the winning Brum effort (as chosen by a panel of Judges) to the 'So You Think You Write Funny' final at Edinburgh Fringe. Heres a video summary of all the entrants (including a dramatic boat explosion!).

DiscoBlonde filming started

Super excited to reveal I have started filming work on a new (semi) secret project for release this Autumn. Its very comedy, it's very silly and it's very very Brummy. I'm working with lots of local talent, have a great squad and its feeling really authentic. More than anything, 14 year old me, running around the playground trying to impress his mates, will be thrilled it is finally getting made. Can't wait to share more with you in September.....
