Aaron Twitchen is a stand up comedian, writer and former circus aerialist.
On the live circuit, he has developed a reputation as a kind and lively MC - regularly used as resident host and as a confident opener/middle, whilst also supporting Luisa Omielan on tour.
Aaron’s trademark ability to make serious subjects entertaining and entertaining subjects serious, was the driving force behind his Guardian recommended, Apple Top 10 podcast, Pod of the Pops, and, more recently his debut book, Homo History, which was published in May this year and charted top 20 in its Amazon charts.

Stand Up
I have been working on the live stand up circuit since 2010. I have an excellent reputation as a lively, friendly and reliable act.
Currently MCing regularly for clubs such as Manfords, Komedia, OTK and Avalon. Good recommendations from regional promoters like Red Redmond, Comedy Cow, Blackpool Comedy Station. Have hosted at festivals, regularly returning for the same promoters based on his track record and reliability.
In the future, I want to continue to progress on the circuit, working for bigger clubs and maintaining club comedy as a key feature in my diary alongside developing into TV roles.
I would love to do tour support for a big female comic.
Writer/Performer
I have predominantly worked in theatre, a mixture of family shows, TIE and classical adaptations; most notably hero-leads in panto and promenade performances of Shakespeare. I am very used to (and love!) regional touring and developing.
In the future, I want to expand into small TV comedy roles, such as sitcoms and sketch shows, as such I have produced and performed for the Sitcom Trials (as part of Gilded Balloon SYTYWF) in 2015 and 2016..
I recently filmed a sketch with Pulped based on my own original idea and staring myself in the lead that won a Lovie award.
